Do you recall where you were when the big earthquake rocked the Bay Area back in Oct 1989?
I was at my apartment in Oakland when the quake hit my sister and I stood in the doorway until the shaking stopped. Our kids were outside playing and we shouted for them to get away from the windows, it seemed like the shaking would never end. Since my apartment was just built less than a year the building didn’t suffer any damage however, my sister’s lived in an old Vicitorian built in 1959, that suffered major damage from the earthquake she had to move out.
